By the time I got to this episode I already loved this show but this is the episode I officially became this show's bitch. And this scene convinced me Charlie Hunnam was a godsend. This scene could have easily become melodramatic but it didn't. I'm convinced that's all Charlie.

Jax: Can I have a minute?
Tara: Yeah,sure. I heard about what happened to Donna. God. I'm so sorry.
Jax: Thanks
Tara: Anybody know what happened.
Jax: No. Look, I know you're busy. I just wanted to make sure you were alright.
Tara: I appreciate that I'm sorry about last night.
Jax: It's ok.
Tara: No it's not ok. Nothing is ok. Like, the last few weeks, I
tired to follow your lead. You know, find some of kind of compartment to
put all this stuff in. But I, just can't. I don't sleep, I'm more
scared now than I ever was. I'm scared of getting caught. I'm scared of
not getting caught. We got away with murder. What does that make me?
Jax: A survivor.

Tara: I think you're a good man with a big heart. I believe you try to do as much good
as you can, but you live a life I don't think I'll ever really understand. I called Chicago
Presbyterian today and they said they'd take me back. And I think it's the best choice.
Jax: Don't you ever get tired of it? Running?
Tara: I'm not running. I'm just being realistic Jax.
Jax: Call it whatever you want. Your life is a series of hit and runs. The minute someone
makes you feel uncomfortable, tests your loyalty, little Tara, packs her bags, and hits the
road. Well, I guess you got what you wanted from me right? Used me to do your dirty
work.

Tara: That's not fair
Jax: Not fair? You wanna know how many women I've slept with over the last ten years?
Tara: Don't do this.
Jax: Hundreds! Maybe more I don't know I barely see their faces. I married Wendy
because I was lonely. I got tired of the endless disconnect. It was just a sad timeout.
Because when I'm inside someone, there's only one face I see. When you came
home, it was like some kind of sign to me. Like my past coming
around giving me another shot to do this different. Better. And now that chance
is running back to Chicago.

That scene was incredible. I felt like, as an actor, Charlie invested everything he had to show Jax's vulnerable side in a way that was believable and heartfelt. To see a strong man like Jax open himself up like that gave this scene such an intimate feeling. I loved Jax and Tara even more than I did before.

Forgot to add. That gut punched reaction Jax had to the news that Tara was leaving was absolute perfection. CH totally sold Jax being completely heartbroken

Completely. He amazes me as an actor. After that scene was done I felt like I needed a break to catch up. Having that silence with Tara after he leaves was a perfect choice. I think we all needed to catch our breath.

Aww that's one of Elie's. I love that icon. All those lines were delivered so well. When says sad timeout you can really feel it. I think I may have re-watch for like the millionth time.

I've loved Jax & Tara since the hug at the end of the Pilot. But this scene and the line "Because when I'm inside someone, there's only one face I see", popped them up on my all time favorite couples list. That quote is one of the best I've ever heard. ♥♥
